The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes will square off against the South Plantation Paladins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pompano Beach's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Stranahan 12-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Tornadoes.

Ethan Williams looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pompano Beach is 4-1 when Williams allowsthree or fewer hits, but 1-2 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gianni Carbone, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Parker Skeen, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.
Pompano Beach hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, South Plantation made sure to put some runs up on the board against McArthur on Tuesday. South Plantation was the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over McArthur. The Paladins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Caleb Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.
On the hitting side, Andrew Gollan was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Decordova, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
South Plantation's win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Pompano Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pompano Beach has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like South Plantation struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Pompano Beach beat South Plantation 4-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Pompano Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Plantation turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
