On Wednesday, Hebron came up short against South Central and fell 3-1. The Hawks have struggled against the Satellites recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-13, 25-15.
Meanwhile, Munster had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Kougars.
Munster had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-17.
Hebron better keep an eye on William Keegan. He was instrumental in Munster's win, getting 14 digs and one assist.
Munster was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Hebron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Munster, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Hebron has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Munster struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
