Winthrop College Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Johnson, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Johnson is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kai Brookins, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and four steals.
Despite the loss, Admiral Farragut still got an impressive performance from Danielius Gelumbauskas, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Vuk Lazarevic was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Admiral Farragut were working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Winthrop College Prep Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Admiral Farragut, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1.
