Pinckneyville came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Jersey Panthers 70-38. Pinckneyville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Jersey still got an impressive performance from John Paul Vogel, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Pinckneyville pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.7 points. As for Jersey, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Pinckneyville will be taking part in a tournament against Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Benton will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Pinckneyville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jersey, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-51 win against Richland County on the 28th.
