The Kearney Bulldogs lost against the Staley Falcons back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Kearney falling 63-44. They have struggled against Staley recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooke Paalhar, who scored 16 points. Paalhar scored a full 36.4% of Kearney's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Taylor, who scored 10 points.
Kearney's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Staley, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Kearney will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Liberty North and Kearney are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Staley, they will head out on the road to face off against Raytown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
