The Fife Trojans will play host again on Friday to welcome the White River Hornets, where first pitch is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Fife is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Fife can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They never let Clover Park onto the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The win was just what Fife needed coming off of an 8-1 loss in their prior game.
Miles Ducharme and Evan Reece made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Ducharme tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Meanwhile, Reece didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. At bat, Ducharme scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Reece scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mattson Ducharme was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a stolen base. Dylan Hoots was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but White River had to settle for a 7-5 defeat against Stadium two weeks ago.
Fife now has a winning record of 3-2. As for White River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
