On Saturday Wallington will take on Saddle Brook at 1:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
After soaring to 38 points the game before, Wallington faltered in their matchup last Friday. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-29 punch to the gut against Wood-Ridge last Friday.
Meanwhile, Saddle Brook have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were gifted an easy win as Ridgefield Memorial wound up forfeiting 0-2. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Saddle Brook's victory lifted them to 2-4 while Wallington's loss dropped them down to 2-4. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Saddle Brook better be ready for a battle.
