The Mill Valley Jaguars had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Blue Valley Southwest 48-47. The victory was nothing new for Mill Valley as they're now sitting on five straight.
Mill Valley was led to victory by Tristan Baker and Daniel Blaine. Baker rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Blaine rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns. Baker really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Blue Valley Southwest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Dunn, who threw for 490 yards and five touchdowns. Alex Parks was another key contributor, picking up 188 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Mill Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Blue Valley Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-2.
Mill Valley will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 1:00 p.m. on November 25th. Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 583 points over their last 12 matches. Blue Valley Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
