Columbia Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Providence Christian Academy on Saturday. That's two games straight that Columbia Academy has won by exactly two points.
Columbia Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Griffin Cooper led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Cooper has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Jackson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Columbia Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. As for Providence Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-4.
