Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Spalding Academy . Both of these teams might be coming in a bit winded after having run the length of the field multiple times (Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family picked up 465.1 yards, Spalding Academy 597.1).
After having lost a blowout to McCool Junction in their previous contest, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family were happy to find some success two weeks ago. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family skirted past Sterling 55-52. Senior Dylan Hanzel, who rushed for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's success. In fact, with 9 tackles Hanzel was a force on both sides of the ball.
In almost any game, 46 points would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Last week, Spalding Academy were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 46-52 to Sumner-Eddyville-Miller.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Spalding Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
