While Aquinas's  victory against Tomah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blugolds narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Timberwolves  3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Blugolds sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Aquinas wouldn't go down easily and took Tomah into a fifth set  where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-15, 25-16, 17-25,  15-10.
 Sammy Davis paced Aquinas' offense, picking up 30 kills. Davis got some help from  Adelaide Bezemek and her 46 assists. Davis was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
 Despite the loss, Tomah still got an impressive performance from   Delaney Spolum, who  had 25  digs and one  assist. Spolum has been hot, having  posted ten or more  digs the last seven times she's  played.
The  victory  got Aquinas back to even at 14-14. As for Tomah,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-17.
 Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tomah, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Middleton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
