Sheldon found their leader in sophomore  Saniah Wiley, who threw for 321 yards and six  TDs while completing 71.1% of her passes, and also rushed for 48 yards. Those 321  passing yards set a new season-high mark for  Wiley.

 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Elk Grove, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They secured  a  12-6 W over Laguna Creek on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Thundering Herd's considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Cardinals are ranked 499th).
 Sheldon pushed their record up to 15-2 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.1 points on average over those games. As for Elk Grove, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
 Sheldon was able to grind out a solid  victory over Elk Grove in their previous meeting  back in September, winning  20-10. Do  the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thundering Herd turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
