Kenton Ridge has not had much luck with Jonathan Alder recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Kenton Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Summer Swords scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 37% of Kenton Ridge's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lyric Wilke, who scored five points.
Kenton Ridge dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Jonathan Alder, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenton Ridge will challenge Cedarville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cedarville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kenton Ridge in Ohio (Cedarville is ranked 331st, while Kenton Ridge is ranked 706th). As for Jonathan Alder, they will head out on the road to face off against West Liberty-Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
