Asher Smith put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Saturday. He struck out two batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).

Coming up, Smith and Hopewell-Loudon will head out on the road to take on Woodmore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Smith's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Chieftains' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Smith and the Chieftains surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Monday's match.
