After flying high against Palco last Tuesday, Western Plains/Healy came back down to earth. Western Plains/Healy took a hard 52-33 fall against the Northern Valley Huskies on Tuesday. Western Plains/Healy won against Northern Valley in their previous head-to-head earlier this month, too, but their margin this time around was much wider than that 2 to nothing finish.
Western Plains/Healy's loss pushed them down to 6-9. The victory -- their third in a row -- raised the Huskies' record to 13-5.
Western Plains/Healy will square off against Weskan Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game. The Huskies are on the road again Friday and play against Hoxie. Like Northern Valley, Hoxie is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent win.
