LaFayette got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Branaviyun Story out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Vaderrian Story, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Horseshoe Bend has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for LaFayette, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
Horseshoe Bend won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Randolph County at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for LaFayette, they will square off against Notasulga at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
