Fordham Prep is 7-1 against the Raiders since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fordham Prep Rams' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Regis Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Fordham Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully the Raiders like a good challenge.
Last Saturday, Fordham Prep earned a 61-50 victory over the Hornets.
Fordham Prep can attribute much of their success to Will Gregory, who scored 20 points, and Matthew Kapfer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Herlick, who scored eight points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, Regis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 58-53 to the Irish.
Fordham Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Regis, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
Fordham Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 69-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fordham Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
