The Bison Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-67 win over Takini. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bison has posted against the Skyhawks since February 12, 2019.
Rylee Veal was his usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bison's points. Kyle Stadler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bison and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Takini, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Bison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (McIntosh is ranked 153rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 148th). Takini's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on February 8th.
