South has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Oxford Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Oxford took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on South, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, South beat the Knights 59-48.
Meanwhile, Oxford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 55-48 to Bartlett.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nolan Remington, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Kofi Owusu was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
South's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-9.
South strolled past the Pirates when the teams last played back in January of 2019 by a score of 52-38. Does South have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
