They walked away with a 68-58 win over Southern Fulton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Southern Fulton still got an impressive performance from Hunter Ward, who went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 1 assists. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mellott, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
The win got James Buchanan back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James Buchanan will take on Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Fulton, they will be playing at home against Tussey Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
