The Western Alamance Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 67-17 win over NCSSM: Durham at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Western Alamance has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Alamance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allie Sykes, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Tina Bowers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Western Alamance's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for NCSSM: Durham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Western Alamance will look to defend their home court on Friday against Williams at 6:00 p.m. NCSSM: Durham's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Wake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully East Wake Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday.
