12 must be Hicks's lucky number: they beat Marksville with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Pirates beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won ten games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Hicks' third in a row) raised their record to 12-1. As for Marksville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
