Jefferson has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the DeSoto Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. One thing working in Jefferson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Jefferson beat Saxony Lutheran 60-54.
Meanwhile, DeSoto scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Perryville 78-48 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for DeSoto as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Aidyn Mitchell was a one-man wrecking crew for DeSoto as he scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Mcclinton, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Jefferson's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for DeSoto, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
