The Azusa Aztecs will head out on the road to challenge the Baldwin Park Braves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Azusa will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Azusa had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Nogales on Friday. The Aztecs blew past the Nobles 15-1. While the Aztecs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

| 03/11/26 @ Garey | 2 |
| 03/05/26 @ Edgewood | 0 |
Deziree Bernardino was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.
Azusa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Baldwin Park came up short against Garey on Wednesday, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly ten runs.
Genesis Bravo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs. Another player making a difference was Makayla Kingsbury, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Azusa's record is now 5-2. As for Baldwin Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Azusa has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Baldwin Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Azusa skirted past Baldwin Park 15-14 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Aztecs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
