After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Verona, Newark Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the West Caldwell Tech Eagles with a sharp 16-1 win. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

Newark Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for West Caldwell Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Newark Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Mount St. Dominic Academy on the 2nd. As for West Caldwell Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Bard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raptors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.64 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
