Southwest Onslow hasn't had much luck against East Duplin recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Southwest Onslow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Southwest Onslow took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Lejeune get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Stallions considering their one-run performance the match before.

Whitney Grissett made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Randolph, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mariyah Palacios also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Southwest Onslow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lejeune only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, East Duplin beat Rosewood 7-2 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Kinsey Cave was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Karsyn Parker was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Southwest Onslow's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for East Duplin, their record is now 11-7.
Southwest Onslow might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from East Duplin in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Stallions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
