The Brazosport Christian Eagles will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Second Baptist University-Model Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th. Hopefully Brazosport Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
Brazosport Christian stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard. They claimed a resounding 60-24 win over Family Christian on the road.
Carson Catoe and Elijah Burris were among the main playmakers for Brazosport Christian as the former scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds and the latter scored 11 points along with four steals. Catoe has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Tyson Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Second Baptist University-Model unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Memorial Lutheran 61-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Brazosport Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Second Baptist University-Model, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
