Dallas is 2-8 against Pittston since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Sunday. The Mountaineers are taking a road trip to challenge the Patriots at 3:00 p.m. Dallas will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Dallas lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Berwick, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Mountaineers blew past the Bulldogs 16-0 on Friday. With that victory, the Mountaineers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

NINA BARROUK was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Dallas got a massive performance out of SYDNEY HAYDU, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave HAYDU a new career-high. Another player making a difference was SOPHIA MAIER, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI.
Dallas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Pittston couldn't beat Tunkhannock on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Patriots lost 19-7 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since April 9th.
Marina Antal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Roman, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.
Dallas' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Pittston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Sunday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dallas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Pittston struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dallas skirted past Pittston 3-2 in their previous meeting on Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
