Decatur extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 13-4. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the White Pigeon Chiefs. Considering the Raiders have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Parker Wiggins made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rowan Bradford, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last ten games. Another player making a difference was Cayden Cropsey, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Decatur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

As for White Pigeon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6. The defeat was just more heartbreak for they, who fell 11-9 when the teams last met back in May of 2025.

On White Pigeon's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Lane, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Decatur will take on Cassopolis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rangers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for White Pigeon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Constantine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
