 Meanwhile, Pecatonica entered their tilt with Galena on Monday with six consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of  47-36. Given the Indians' advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 51st, while the Pirates are ranked 304th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Pecatonica's victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Freeport, their record now sits at 8-2.
