Hauser is a perfect 10-0 against North Decatur since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Jets will challenge the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Hauser's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
North Decatur's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Hauser hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Jets were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Edinburgh on Friday. Fans of the Jets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
R.J. Foster made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
In other batting news, Stryker Gill was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Peyton Bennett, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
Hauser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edinburgh only managed one hit.
Meanwhile, North Decatur lost 14-2 to Union County on Tuesday. The Chargers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
North Decatur saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Jones' first of the season.

Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hauser has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. However, it's not like North Decatur struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hauser came out on top in a nail-biter against North Decatur when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
