The Sonoraville Phoenix's's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They claimed a resounding 77-0 win over Southeast Whitfield County at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Sonoraville had established a 70 point advantage.
Jaxon Pate went supernova for Sonoraville, throwing for 242 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Keegan Townsend, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Sonoraville's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Southeast Whitfield County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9.
Sonoraville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southeast Whitfield County also has no future games currently scheduled.
