The Reagan Rattlers will head out on the road to face off against the Clemens Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Reagan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Last Friday, Reagan suffered a rough 57-32 defeat at the hands of Clark. Reagan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
Despite the defeat, Reagan got a solid performance out of Sahara Green, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Clemens pushed their score all the way to 67 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 84-67 bruising from United. While losing is never fun, Clemens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while United is ranked 101st).
This is the second loss in a row for Reagan and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Clemens, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.
Reagan came out on top in a nail-biter against Clemens when the teams last played back in December of 2022, sneaking past 70-68. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Clemens' Aysia Proctor, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Now that she won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Reagan to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
