Tappan Zee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Delsea Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tappan Zee is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in their respective states (they are ranked 61st in New York, while Delsea is ranked 237th in New Jersey).
Tappan Zee scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Roosevelt for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-23 victory at home. With Tappan Zee ahead 41-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Delsea didn't have too much trouble with Deptford on the road on Friday as they won 35-16.
Tappan Zee's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Delsea, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Tappan Zee against Delsea when the teams last played back in February of 2019 as the squad secured a 64-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tappan Zee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
