Windsor extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Longmont. They took their match with ease, bagging a 64-31 victory over the Longmont Trojans. The Wizards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.
Madden Smiley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-12 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of John Backhaus, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 15 points and three steals.
Windsor was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 18-4 when they've passed the ball that well.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Levi Varga, who posted eight points. David Valles was another key player, putting up eight points.
Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Longmont's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
Coming up, Windsor will challenge Dakota Ridge on Friday. Dakota Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Windsor likes a good challenge. Longmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
