The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They blew past Dayspring Christian Academy 74-37 at home. Bishop Machebeuf has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Bishop Machebeuf got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Miles Edgar-Parchman out in front who scored 14 points along with five steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Edgar-Parchman posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Landon Sulser, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Dayspring Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Quinn Boyd, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Peyton Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Bishop Machebeuf's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Machebeuf will take on Union Colony Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Colony Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Bishop Machebeuf is ranked 50th). As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Gilpin County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
