The Carolina M Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Alamance Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Carolina M has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Alamance Christian will arrive with five straight victories.
Carolina M suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-24 loss at the hands of Liberty Christian. While losing is never fun, Carolina M can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 644th, while Liberty Christian is ranked 227th).
Alamance Christian proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 41) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Gospel Light Christian 46-43. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Alamance Christian has scored all year.
Carolina M bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Alamance Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Carolina M might still be hurting after the 70-50 defeat they got from Alamance Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Carolina M avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
