Given Arrowhead Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Canyon Springs is ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Pacific's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 58-49 to Indian Springs. Pacific has struggled against Indian Springs recently, as their game last Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Arrowhead Christian pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Pacific, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
