If the Seneca Bobcats were riding high off their 73-36 takedown of the Pendleton Bulldogs last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Seneca ended up on the wrong side of a rough 77-55 walloping at the hands of Daniel on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Seneca has suffered yet this season.
Seneca's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cam O'kelley, who scored 15 points along with two blocks, and Jalen Craig who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Craig hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron Clayton, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Hayden Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds for Daniel. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Williams, who scored 13 points.
Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Daniel, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Seneca will be playing at home against Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walhalla has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 332 points over their last five matchups. As for Daniel, they will head out on the road to take on Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
