Blake Smith Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Thursday, Westview got the W thanks in part to Blake Smith playing the best football he has all season. Smith rushed for 206 yards on only 12 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (107.9). Those 206 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Westview Gets a Boost from Shaffar in 55-14 Win
Luke Shaffar posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Thursday. He rushed for 139 yards on only nine carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 78 yards.
For the season, Shaffar has averaged 134.1 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 47.61 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 87.37 passer rating.

Tyrell Chatman Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Tyrell Chatman of Lincoln North Star. Chatman threw for 106 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Lincoln North Star, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Chatman and Lincoln North Star will take on Millard West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
