The Ysleta Indians's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past Horizon 54-25 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Ysleta, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Janae Atkins went supernova for Ysleta, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Atkins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jesscia Jasso, who scored 15 points.
Ysleta's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-18. As for Horizon, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.
Ysleta will head out on the road to take on the Conquistadores at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Horizon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Bel Air focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
