Lowndes scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Colquitt County, 17-14. At the time, the Packers was ranked fourth in the state, while the Vikings was 29th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lowndes, who took down fourth ranked Colquitt County, 17-14.
Lacarvius Sears was the most productive running back in AAAAAA Region 1 this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 92 yards as Coffee lost to the Vikings. Santory Long also contributed to the rushing game with 82 yards on the ground.
Hill was the best wideout in the league this week as the Packers fell to Lowndes. Hill racked up six receptions for 81 yards. Todd Boyd helped Colquitt County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 51 yards.
Brice Ramsey put up the best numbers through the air as Camden County topped Valdosta. He finished with a total of three completions for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Ramsey's favorite target this week was Christian Middelton, who caught two passes for 55 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Ramsey and J.j. Green the Wildcats have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Ramsey leads the league in passing with 634 yards, while Green has rushed for 278 yards this season. Colquitt County's Hill leads the league in receiving yards with 368 on 25 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Camden County and the Trojans. Jeff Herron's team enters the game ranked second in the state, while Coffee ranks 25th.
The Trojans were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in AAAAAA Region 1. Earlier in the week, Coffee defeated Tift County 24-7.
