After flying high against Union Area  last Wednesday, Wilmington came back down to earth. Wilmington fell just short of the Sharon Tigers by a score of  13-12 on Friday. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2019.
  Danny Leonard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Owen Bauer, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
Wilmington now  has a losing record of 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Wilmington will venture away from home to  face off against Mohawk Area  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Sharon, they will welcome Conneaut Area  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
