Aberdeen hasn't had much luck against Tumwater recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bobcats will head out to square off against the Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Aberdeen sitting on ten straight victories and Tumwater on five.
The home team had come away the winner the last three times Aberdeen and WF West had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bobcats never let the Bearcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Monday.
Not much got past Lilly Camp, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep WF West off the board. Camp has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Aberdeen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Scotlyn Lecomte, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Lecomte is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Tumwater made easy work of Centralia on Tuesday and carried off a 6-0 victory. Considering the Thunderbirds have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Ferguson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Ferguson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Tumwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.
Aberdeen pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Tumwater, their record is now 5-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Aberdeen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Tumwater struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Aberdeen suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Tumwater when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
