Baseball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

If Eldorado was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Pope County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Eldorado came up short against the Benton Rangers on Thursday, falling 15-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Maddex Rash made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Benton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Coming up, Eldorado will square off against Webber at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Benton, they are taking a road trip to take on Marshall County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
