Despite the defeat, Plattsmouth saw an underclassman step up: Derek Nanke scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds. Gage Olsen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Platteview can attribute much of their success to Jaxon Adams, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least 25% of Platteview's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Staudt, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Plattsmouth's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Platteview, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
