Alayna Lherisse continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Eau Gallie's points. Jasmine Carter was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Viera still got an impressive performance from Lauren Bell, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.
Eau Gallie pushed their record up to 11-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Viera, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Eau Gallie will head out on the road to face off against Palm Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 56.1 so far this season, Palm Bay's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Eau Gallie better be ready for a challenge. As for Viera, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Heritage at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Heritage is ranked 243rd, while Viera is ranked 247th).
