Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Kinkaid Falcons, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 35-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Episcopal on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Kinkaid can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Episcopal is ranked 40th).
Defeat or not, Kinkaid got some senior leadership from Miles Roeder who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown and Nico Gomez who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Kinkaid's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Episcopal, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Kinkaid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Episcopal also has no future games currently scheduled.
