Anderson Filla Turns in Season-Best Performance
Akron was led to victory by Anderson Filla, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Filla rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for Dayspring Christian Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Filla. When Filla last faced the Eagles back in September, he rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.

Dayspring Christian Academy's probably not too fond of Curtis given he always seems to get the better of them. When Curtis last faced the Eagles back in September, he rushed for 113 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

A Season-Best Performance from Brady Mollendor Leads Sedgwick County over Merino
Brady Mollendor produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sedgwick County to the win on Friday. Mollendor rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Mollendor must have Merino's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Mollendor rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.
