They strolled past Galva with points to spare, taking the game 74-60. Given Princeville's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Galva is ranked 647th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Galva's loss came despite strong showings from Braxton Rylander and Blake Stahl. Rylander scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Stahl dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cyrus Lilly, who scored ten points.
Princeville's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Galva, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Princeville will face off against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galva, they will take on Annawan at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Annawan's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
